Over the Whit Bank Holiday weekend every year there are a number of festivals held locally. First there is Churchtown Festival at which Alex Ward was again a standard bearer.
On the Monday (May 29th) Garstang Children’s Festival is held. This is a much larger event which attracts many thousands of visitors each year. There are always two processions: one at 11am an the second at 6pm. There is also a large fairground with a variety of attractions and rides attracting all ages.
