There are numerous excellent walks particularly along the riverside. Many of our owners enjoy a drink at one of the local pubs like the White Bull which welcomes dogs.

Merlewood’s dog walk has now re-opened.   The mown walkways meander around the 5 acre field which adjoins the park.  It is a safe place to exercise your pet.  Here is Julie Ward, one of the park owners, being led around the walk by Maxx, her treasured and very playful Bichon Frise.  Access is directly from the Park  and there is a dog waste bin at the entrance so that this area can be kept clean and tidy at all times for the benefit of everyone. 

For added practicality, we have installed a pet friendly shower. If you have been out for a walk with your dog along the river, the last thing that you want is dirty paws being walked into your home. The new Dog Shower has a controlled temperature to give your pet a comfortable wash and is located next to the Park Office and open for use at all times.
